Vinneta L. J. Shorter AGAC-NP joined Delaware Cardiovascular Associates in May 2023.

Vinneta grew up in Woodstown, NJ.
She attended Woodstown High School and graduated in the class of 2007.
She has practiced nursing since 2012, starting her career as a licensed practical nurse.
She attended Salem Community College where she graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing.
She obtained her RN license in June 2016.
Vinneta attended Grand Canyon University where she obtained her BSN in the summer of 2018.

She worked for Christiana Care for 6 years as an RN with experience in critical care, medical-surgical nursing and cardiology.
She obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing in May 2022 from Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA with clinical rotations in cardiology and internal medicine.

In December 2022, she obtained ANCC certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is the motto that encapsulates her career in healthcare.
Patient advocacy is one of her biggest strengths. Vinneta is an active member of the Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners.
She enjoys building a good rapport with her patients both in the hospital and the cardiology office.

In addition to her career, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and loved ones, cooking and caring for her family.
